| 30 March 2006 | A very interesting email received from Pascal Wolterman. His passed on a few interesting family stories told by his 81 year old Aunt. She believes that there were once 3 van Buggenum brothers, one lived in Limburg, another in Utrecht and the third in Kennemerland. This supports my belief that all van Buggenums originally come from Limburg. A second story tells of how van Buggenum become Bugnum... an ancestor had to pronounce his child at the town hall and being under the influence of alcohol he did not notice the misspelling of his name! |
